Preparing for An Exceptional Marriage
Premarital Prep Class




WHEN:  6 Sessions starting Feb. 12 and ending April 15.  Sunday mornings from 9 to 11:15  a.m.
WHERE: Sturm Hall (Room 124)  on the Univ. of Denver campus.
WHO: Couples who are seriously exploring marriage or already engaged.
HOW MUCH:  $70 per couple covers two student workbooks and a hardback book on physical intimacy.
CURRICULUM: “Before ‘I Do,’ by Jason Krafsky, and supplements developed by the Bakers.
AFFILIATION: Our co-sponsor is Denver United Church, a 3-year-old congregation which meets on the DU campus.  We welcome visitors to our class from other churches throughout the region and love working with other pastors to come alongside them in preparing couples for marriage.

Dealing with Family of Origin Issues that impact marriage
Having a Solid Financial Foundation
Letting the Lord Guide Your Courtship Process
Connecting at all three levels in a Godly way: Spirit, Soul, and Body (Seeking God Together,                  Forming of Friendship Foundation, and Walking in Premarital Purity)
Seeing Yourself as a Part of the Body of Christ—not as Lone Rangers
Learning to talk through issues without doing damage to one another
Smoking out the “danger signs” and seeking solutions

Bob and Carol Baker, in their 49th year of marriage this year, bring over 35 years of marriage preparation teaching and counseling to this Christ-centered event, which is a blend of Biblical truth and practical tools for building an exceptional marriage.
